Man Who Violated Protection Order Attacks Victim With Knife In Greenwich, Police Say

A 22-year-old Fairfield County man was taken into police custody after allegedly violating a court-issued Protective Order and threatening his victim with a knife, investigators said.

Officers from the Greenwich Police Department responded to a Delavan Avenue home in Byram at approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, where there was a report of a domestic incident.

Police said that the investigation found that Greenwich resident Kevin Alfredo Ramos-Mendoza had allegedly attacked his victim with a knife. Further investigation determined that he was in violation of a full no contact Protective Order by both being in the residence and threatening his victim with a knife.

Ramos-Mendoza was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 20 on an arrest warrant and charged with disorderly conduct, violation of a Protective Order and assault. Ramos-Mendoza posted $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
